The characters will be constructing simple shape-based structures within their spaces. These shapes  could represent a number of things, population, economy, political strength and stability.

The characters will  use them to trade with other characters ,so they could represent a form of material wealth or currency.  They will also be thrown by the characters at others’ areas, thus being used as a weapon.
